AFTERSALES MANAGER

Responsible for developing aftersales business to provide the highest possible standard of customer service and revenue generation. Being responsible for the smooth and efficient operations of the workshop, ensuring that staffing and work is well scheduled; service is carried out to the highest levels of quality; required parts are available for sale and for service; and customer relations are maintained and continuously enhanced, in line with Simba Corporations policies and standards.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • • Build, lead, motivate and develop a highly successful team that achieves Aftersales business objectives.
  • • Coordinating Aftersales activities with the Principals and Dealers.
  • • Manage all Service and Technical aspects for the full range of products with the objective of achieving the set targets.
  • • Coordinate the scheduling of Technicians and manage their field activities and utilization.
  • • Prepare budgets for Service and Parts.
  • • Assess and develop infrastructure improvements for the workshop.
  • • Work with the Marketing team to develop and implement Aftersales marketing initiatives.
  • • Develop, implement, and periodically review policies, operating procedures, and processes within the Aftersales Department.
  • • Ensure the required level of training for all Aftersales staff.
  • • Create and promote “Menu Pricing” services and develop marketing opportunities for all locations.
  • • Develop, document, and maintain a Quality Assurance program for the business unit.
  • • Work with the Head of Customer Care to promote and improve Customer Service levels.
  • • Intervene in managing customer complaints, where appropriate, with the aim of resolution.
  • • Assess tool and equipment requirements, and make sure that the right tools are available to carry out the work required.
  • • Ensure periodic workshop maintenance routines are carried out in the workshop.
  • • Ensure all warranty issues are managed effectively and in a timely manner.
  • • Prepare and submit requisite Aftersales reports.
  • • Any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Person Specifications


Academic Qualifications
  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

Professional Qualification
  • • Member of International Motor Industry / Management Institute.

Experience
  • • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience within the motors Industry.
  • • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management position.

Skills
  • • Good knowledge of Motor Vehicle Mechanics (Trucks)
  • • Good organizational and coordination skills
  • • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • • Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PARTS SUPERVISOR

Responsible for maintaining optimum stock level, selling of parts over the counter and through workshop, and expediting order delivery to customers and from head office.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • • Responsible for selling parts OTC and through the workshop thereby ensuring the parts budget is met.
  • • Run suggested orders from the SAP system and carry out accurate and timely analysis of the suggested orders and recommend economic order quantities.
  • • Stock, Rush and VOR order placement, confirmations, and follow-up.
  • • Issue frequent order status report to customers and workshop.
  • • Initiate cancellation of overdue orders if alternative solution has been found.
  • • Advise VOR arrival for distribution to customers.
  • • Carry out continuous analysis of stock movement.
  • • To determine the level of stocking on fast movers and recommend action.
  • • Prepare quarterly stock aging report.
  • • Responsible for the supervision and appraisal of staff at the branch.
  • • Ensuring compliance with Internal controls.
  • • Any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

      SERVICE ADVISOR

      To receive customer vehicles into the workshop in a timely manner and ensure customer satisfaction with the service delivery process.


      Primary Responsibilities:
      • • Attend to customer promptly and courteously.
      • • Prepare service orders as per customer request.
      • • Advise customers on the progress of repairs on their vehicles.
      • • Inform customers on the repair charges.
      • • Add on sales to service department.
      • • Ensure vehicles are delivered to customers on time and in good condition.
      • • Quality control at the point of delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
      • • Receive vehicles bookings.
      • • Respond to customer calls and queries.
      • • Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

      Person Specifications

      Academic Qualifications
      • • Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field.
      • • Customer service experience will be an added advantage.

      Experience
      • • 1 to 2 years’ experience.

      PARTS SALES ADVISOR

      Responsible for selling parts and to provide individual advice to customer who are purchasing parts, with the objective of ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.


      Primary Responsibilities:
      • • Actively sell parts and achieve targets and suitable measures for the parts sales department.
      • • Provide correct and timely advice to customers.
      • • Support marketing activities as required.
      • • Meet objectives for specific sales areas as directed e.g. wheels,tyres, air conditioning systems, etc.
      • • Carry out warranty, goodwill or exchange of parts in accordance with guidelines.
      • • Responsible for proper billing.
      • • Plan sale activities.
      • • Recommend all-inclusive price offers in consultation with the service department, for approval by the Manager.
      • • Furnish and update sales literature as directed.

      • • Diploma in Sales / Marketing OR in Automotive Engineering, with a flair for sales.

      Experience
      • • At least 2 years relevant experience.
      • • Product knowledge (Ashok Leyland) and technical knowledge regarding installation and retrofitting as well as marketing.

      PARTS WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

      To receive and store items to the warehouse and stores section.


      Primary Responsibilities:
      • • To receive items delivered into the warehouse and ensure proper binning is done.
      • • To assign sections in the stores where the parts will be placed.
      • • Prepare orders to requisition for parts for approval by the Parts Supervisor.
      • • Reconcile parts against cost transactions.
      • • To ensure security, cleanliness, and tidiness in the stores area.
      • • Any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

      • • Academic Qualifications
      • • Diploma in Stores Management or related field.

      Experience
      • • 1 to 2 Years relevant experience.

      WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR

      Responsible for the smooth and efficient operations of the workshop, ensuring that staffing and work is well scheduled; service is carried out to the highest levels of quality; and customer relations are maintained and continuously enhanced, in line with Simba Corporations policies and standards.


      Primary Responsibilities:
      • • Continuously review service quality, ensuring effective SOPs are developed and are adhered to.
      • • Participate in the preparation of plans and budgets for the service department.
      • • Maintain the workshop in line with the required principle and company standards.
      • • Official custodian of company assets in the workshop thus ensuring their safety, security, and maintenance.
      • • Responsible for timely ordering of required parts, tools and equipment for the workshop and managing their usage.
      • • Responsible for ensuring the set revenue and profit targets for the workshop are met.
      • • Organize and supervise the activities of staff by preparing work-plans and monitoring attendance, discipline, and workload.
      • • Manage the service reception ensuring customers are well attended to by Service Advisors.
      • • Verify and approve final repair and release orders.
      • • Training, coaching, and mentoring the workshop team to ensure they continuously grow their skills and develop their careers through various training programs.
      • • Ensure highest levels of health and safety standards are maintained in the workshop both in terms of the facilities and of staff adherence to set policies.
      • • Maintain excellent customer relationships and ensure prompt resolution of any issues or complaints.

      • Minimum of 6 year’s relevant working experience with at least 3 year’s management experience.

      SALES EXECUTIVE (7 POSITIONS)

      Pickups and Buses Division- 5 salespersons needed (Nairobi– 2, Nyeri -1, Mombasa – 1, Kisumu/Kisii – 1) Trucks Division (FUSO) – 2 needed (Mombasa- 1, Kisii – 1)


      Job Summary

      Develop and increase sales business by targeting suitable clients.


      Key Responsibilities will include:
      • • Identify sales opportunities.
      • • Build and maintain long client relationships with new existing businesses.
      • • Meet profit target and ensure a sustainable growth.
      • • Work and coordinate with other departments to ensure quality services required by customers are delivered.
